What has Donald Trump done as President

What has Donald Trump done as President

As of early 2026, Donald Trump's second term has focused on aggressive deregulation, restricting transgender rights in sports and health, initiating mass deportations, and imposing tariffs. Key actions include reversing Biden-era environmental policies, expanding oil/coal production, and reducing federal workforce protections.

  • Energy & Environment: Reversed restrictions on fossil fuels, promoted "clean coal," and eased regulations on mining and energy production.
  • Social & Gender Policy: Issued executive actions defining gender as binary, restricting gender-affirming care, and banning transgender women from women's sports teams.
  • Immigration:
Initiated large-scale deportation operations, designated foreign gangs as terrorist organizations, and increased enforcement at agriculture sites.
  • Deregulation & Government: Removed thousands of pages from the Federal Register, dismantled "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI) offices, and reduced the federal civil service protection.
  • Foreign Policy & Trade: Imposed tariffs on foreign goods, renegotiated trade deals, and claimed credit for brokering, among others, a peace agreement between Rwanda and the DRC.
  • Criminal Justice: Pardoned a large number of individuals convicted of crimes related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot

Security Specialist for the Air Force, Air Base Ground Defense

In the context of the U.S. Air Force, Air Base Ground Defense (ABGD) is the operational term for ground combat operations used to protect air bases, resources, and personnel. This mission is carried out by Security Forces Specialists, who serve as a hybrid of military law enforcement and ground combat troops.

Security Forces Specialists (often referred to as "Defenders") are responsible for
"defending the force" through several key functions:

Base Defense: Engaging in infantry-style tactics like patrolling, close-quarters battle,
and defense-in-depth to protect airfields worldwide.

Law Enforcement: Performing duties similar to civilian police, including traffic enforcement,
investigating on-base incidents, and apprehending suspects.

Resource Protection: Safeguarding high-value assets such as aircraft, nuclear weapons, and command systems.
Specialized Units: Depending on their assignment, they may serve in K9 units,
Phoenix Raven teams for aircraft security, or tactical response forces for missile fields.

Weaponry Proficiency: Mastering weapons such as the M4 Carbine, M240B, M249 SAW, and
MK-19 grenade launcher.

Tactical Skills: Small unit tactics, field operations, and perimeter defense in realistic combat scenarios.
Response Capability: Detecting and neutralizing hostile actions against restricted or controlled areas.

Join Bluesky

Bluesky is a decentralized, open-source social media platform designed as a user-controlled alternative to X (formerly Twitter). Founded by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and currently led by CEO Jay Graber, it offers a familiar, text-based, microblogging experience with custom feeds and moderation tools, allowing users to move their data across different apps

Key Features of Bluesky:

Decentralized Technology: Built on the AT Protocol, which acts as an open-source framework rather than a closed, single-company platform.

User Control: Offers customizable feeds and superior moderation tools.

Similar to Twitter: Operates similarly to the "old" Twitter, allowing 300-character posts, images, and short videos.

Open Access: Grew rapidly, surpassing 20 million users, as a popular alternative for those leaving X, particularly following the 2024 U.S. election.

Interoperability: Users can change apps without losing their followers or content because it operates on a decentralized network

Bluesky was originally conceived in 2019 within Twitter but became an independent, self-governing entity in 2022, shortly before X was acquired by Elon Musk.

Ancient DNA reveals a farming shift that pushed a society to the brink

Ancient DNA reveals a farming shift that pushed a society to the brink

A new study reveals that farming in Argentina’s Uspallata Valley was adopted by local hunter-gatherers rather than introduced by outside populations. Centuries later, a stressed group of maize-heavy farmers migrated into the region, facing climate instability, disease, and declining numbers. Despite these pressures, there’s no sign of violence—instead, families stayed connected across generations, using kinship networks to survive. The research shows how cooperation, not conflict, helped communities navigate crisis. View Article
